Sen. Pat Stefano (R-32) recently hosted his annual "Senator for a Day" program at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus. The event brought together 146 high school students from 17 schools, 22 teachers, and 17 panelists for a unique educational experience.

During the event, students had the opportunity to participate in a mock legislative session where they could draft, amend, debate, and vote on their own pieces of legislation. This hands-on activity aimed to give students a deeper understanding of the legislative process and civic engagement.

In support of the event, Somerset Trust Company sponsored the program, highlighting the importance of community involvement and education in shaping future leaders. The event provided a platform for students to learn, engage, and develop critical thinking skills in a practical setting.
