Rep. Ryan Warner (R-Fayette) will host an event to assist Fayette County residents and others across the Commonwealth in replacing illegible license plates. The event is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 30, from 3-6 p.m. at the Perryopolis Auto Auction, located at 3447 Pittsburgh Road, Perryopolis.

“State law requires PennDOT to replace standard license plates that are deemed illegible at no cost to the vehicle owner,” Warner stated. “I encourage residents whose plates are worn and difficult to read to take advantage of the opportunity to get the replacement process started.”

A registration plate is considered illegible if one or more numbers or letters cannot be recognized from a distance of 50 feet or if it shows any blistering, peeling, discoloration, or loss of reflectivity.

Attendees should bring their vehicle with the affected plate attached, along with their unexpired PA driver’s license and current vehicle registration card. To RSVP, contact Warner’s office at 724-437-1105 or sign up online.
