Sen. Pat Stefano and Rep. Eric Davanzo have announced the approval of $65,531 in grants for Westmoreland County. The funds will be allocated towards a wastewater improvement project and an arts and culture project. Stefano expressed his satisfaction with the grant funding, stating that it will help shield Scottdale residents from increased bills. He added, "I'm pleased to share this good news of this money coming back to the district."

Scottdale Borough will receive $46,045 through the Small Water and Sewer (SWS) Program for its North Grant Street Sewer project. The program aims to provide grants for small water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure projects. Rep. Davanzo highlighted the significance of these grants, explaining that they jumpstart local projects without burdening ratepayers. He said, "Grants like these jumpstart local projects without reaching further into ratepayers' pockets."

In addition to the wastewater improvement project, the Westmoreland Fayette Historical Society will receive $19,486 for operating costs for the historic West Overton Village. This funding comes from the PA Arts and Culture Recovery Program, which aims to support nonprofit arts and culture organizations, local arts and culture districts, and arts and culture professionals in their recovery efforts post-pandemic.

These grants will play a crucial role in supporting infrastructure development and preserving the rich history and cultural heritage of Westmoreland County. With the funding in place, Scottdale Borough can proceed with its sewer project, ensuring the efficient management of wastewater and benefiting the local community. The support provided to the Westmoreland Fayette Historical Society will help maintain the historical site, allowing visitors to continue exploring and learning about the region's past.

The announcement of these grants demonstrates the commitment of Sen. Pat Stefano and Rep. Eric Davanzo to their constituents in Westmoreland County. By securing funding for essential projects, they are working towards improving the quality of life for residents and preserving the county's cultural heritage.
