SS. Cyril & Methodius Parish issued the following announcement on Mar. 26.
At the request of Pastoral and Finance Councils from St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Western Fayette County, Bishop Larry J. Kulick, JCL has announced that Holy Rosary Church Building, Republic, Madonna of Czestochowa Church Building, Cardale, St. Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Building, Leckrone, and St. Procopius Church Building, New Salem will be relegated to the status under canon law of profane but not sordid use, meaning they will no longer serve as worship sites and will close as Roman Catholic Churches.
