Borough of South Connellsville issued the following announcement on Oct. 28.
At the next regular meeting of Borough Council, two new Ordinances will be discussed and voted on. The first will be dealing with open burning within the Borough. Currently, there are several Ordinances dealing with various types of burning. Council will be consolidating those into one new Ordinance to provide clarity on the proper burnings that are allowed within the Borough. The second will be a “Dangerous Structures Ordinance” which will form the foundation of the Borough’s initiative to combat blight within the Borough. All residents who wish to be heard on one or both of these Ordinances are encouraged to attend. We of course invite any comments and thoughts as Council continues to strive for an improved quality of life for every resident of the Borough. The meeting will take place Monday, November 9th at 7:30 p.m. at the Borough Building.
