Fayette Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 16.
As this year of COVID rolls through, the ability to safely hold an event of this magnitude is almost impossible. As much as we’d love to bring our community together to enjoy a fun parade, we just cannot do it in a way that would keep everyone safe.
So, in an effort to continue to share the fun of Halloween, we are embarking on our first ever, Virtual Halloween Parade! We are asking for pictures of kids, families, businesses, community groups, and school groups.
We’ll put them all together and have a parade! This year’s virtual parade will air on Fayette County Television (ABB Channel 77 in Fayette County) and will run on our social media platforms. To make it even better, we will bring together some independent judges and award monetary prizes!
