Somerset Township issued the following announcement on June 23.
Somerset Township Supervisors have announced a paving project the week of June 22, 2020, starting Wednesday, June 24th and continuing through Monday June 29, 2020, that WILL CHANGE local traffic pattern. Gilmour RD (T-861) and Sechler Road (T-524) will be closed to all through traffic and will be limited to Residential traffic only during daylight hours. NO THROUGH TRAFFIC. Work will begin at the intersection of North Center Avenue (SR 601) near the PennDot shed and ending at the intersection of Sechler RD and Stoystown RD (SR 281). Paving will be done in a single lane. Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes if possible. Delays should be expected.
