Rep. Charity Grimm Krupa announced that the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority (PBDA) has allocated nearly $1.3 million to German Township. This funding will be used to enhance the municipal complex to meet the growing demand for high-speed broadband.

The initiative aims to provide residents with access to services such as telework, telelearning, telehealth, and opportunities to improve digital literacy. Representative Grimm Krupa stated, "For far too long, rural Pennsylvania has been left behind when it comes to high-speed internet access," highlighting the project's significance in providing a reliable internet service to the community.

The funds come from PBDA’s Multi-Purpose Community Facilities Program. This program supports community anchor institutions and local government units to construct or improve public facilities.

Representative Charity Grimm Krupa serves the 51st District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
