The program collected more than 20 times the national average of soft plastics in just six months.

We're excited to share some more great news about our ongoing partnership with the Uniontown Lions Club.
Six months ago, we introduced the NexTrex Plastic Bag & Film Recycling Program at our Romeo Lane facility. For every 500 lbs. of soft plastics collected, the Lions Club receives a park bench for placement throughout the county.
NexTrex thought it would take us six months to reach 500 lbs. We're proud to say that Fayette County once again broke records with 8 bales of plastic weighing 10,340 pounds! THANK YOU to our citizens!
The Lions Club will receive its first six benches in the coming months, with the first to be placed at our Recycling Convenience Center, and the others used to further beautify our public spaces. We thank the Lions Club and Giant Eagle for facilitating the program! We can't wait to keep the momentum going!
