Cost of college went up for all students at Somerset County Technology Center

Tuition and fees rose 1.9 percent for 2018-19 at Somerset County Technology Center, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Pennsylvania students paid $13,750 to attend the public school this year – $250 more than the $13,500 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 20 students received grants or scholarships totaling $101,900 and 30 students took out student loans totaling more than $283,190.

Including all undergraduates (62), 49 students used grants or scholarships totaling $196,618, and 56 students took out $538,918 in federal student loans.
