We at Laurel Highlands Today, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, have submitted a request for records under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law. The requested information pertains to the list of all active and retired employees enrolled in the Uniontown City Police Pension Plan for the year of 2023.

The specific data fields we have asked for include last name, first name, middle name, date of birth, employer name, employment start date, employment end date, salary, compensation type, amount, year, process date, last disbursement amount, disbursement frequency and the contribution amount for 2023.

As a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, access to public records is crucial for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These responsibilities include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.

This effort is part of our ongoing commitment to ensure transparency in local government affairs and provide our readers with accurate information about their community's governance.
