Studentlaptop

Windber Area High School issued the following announcement on Nov. 12.

Today we were informed of another positive case of COVID - 19 within our district. Due to privacy requirements we cannot release the names of the individuals or details that may identify these individuals. In consultation with the Department of Health and our School Closure Matrix cumulative totals, we will be closed for in-person instruction at the Windber Area Elementary and Middle School beginning Friday, November 13th through Tuesday, November 17th. Students will return to in-person learning on Wednesday, November 18th. The Windber Area High School and Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center will remain in session unless otherwise advised.

We realize the impact this decision has on our students and families. Students in Grades K4 through 2 should continue with their packets. Students in Grades 3-8 should access their classes remotely through Google Classroom in accordance with their daily schedule. Head Start and the Learning Lamp Before and After School programs are closed during this time.

We thank you for your continued support and understanding
