Windber Area High School issued the following announcement on Oct. 15.
All pets on school district property must be leashed at all times. Pets are not permitted to be at the cross country course, baseball field, softball field, junior high football field, and other outside facilities while athletic events are going on and students are present with the exception of service animals with documentation. No pets are permitted within the fence at the stadium or the old track at any time. Also anyone walking their pets on school district property after school hours MUST clean up after their pets. Your cooperation will help us to avoid totally banning pets from district property.
