UNIONTOWN – Rep. Charity Grimm Krupa (R-Fayette) is set to host a free Shredding Event on Friday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event, organized in partnership with Fayette County Recycling, will take place at 105 Romeo Lane in Uniontown.
"Scammers are constantly looking for any way to get their hands on your personal information," emphasized Grimm Krupa, highlighting the importance of safeguarding personal data. She added, "By shredding any documents listing your address, credit card and Social Security information, you take away an easy opportunity for criminals to steal your identity."
The event is open to residential customers only, with a limit of four boxes and/or bags per household. Attendees are advised to prepare by removing any binders, binder clips, paper clips, or plastic folders before the event.
