Of the 917 citizens living in West Brownsville in 2019, 761 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 407 of those people were female and 354 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
